Frederick “Fred” Bloy is a New England based photographer in Boston with roots on Little Deer Isle, Maine. As a frequent contributor to publications, Fred focuses on finding and capturing beauty in the sometimes overlooked raw New England scenery.
In 2013 Fred graduated with a degree from University of New Hampshire in Environmental Engineering later doing consulting work in industrial environmental remediation. About 5 years in he hit a cross roads realizing Engineering was not what he wanted to do and decided to travel while pursing a passion for landscape and lifestyle photography. Since then, Fred has turned his passion into professional work by starting this photography venture in doing both professional services (Published magazine contributions, Weddings, Realestate, Portraits, Drone work) as well as selling prints through my website.
Although new to the scene, Fred has emerged as a well known and respected New England photographer. His work has been shared and featured countlessly on social media as well as being published in different ways by various magazines. These include pages and contributions in the magazines, features online, various published calendars, and an image of mine was one of seven images chosen as best images of the year my Down East Magazine. He is a continuing contributor for several prominent and well known New England magazines.
