About Fred
My name is Frederick “Fred” Bloy and I’m a New England based professional photographer in Newburyport with roots on Little Deer Isle, Maine. As a frequent contributor to publications, I focus on finding and capturing beauty in the sometimes overlooked raw New England scenery.
In 2013 I graduated with a degree from University of New Hampshire in Environmental Engineering later doing consulting work in industrial environmental remediation. About 5 years in I hit a crossroads and realized Engineering was not what I wanted to do and decided to travel whilst pursuing a passion photography. Since then, I’ve turned my passion into professional work by starting this photography venture in providing both professional services (Editorial work, social media campaigns, weddings, realestate, portraits, drone work) as well as selling fine art prints through my website and in a physical gallery (Kingman Gallery)
Although fairly new to the scene, I have emerged as a well known and respected New England photographer. My work has been shared and featured countlessly on social media as well as being a continuing contributor for several prominent and well known New England publications. These include pages and contributions in magazines, features online, various published calendars, and an image of mine was one of seven images chosen as best images of the year my Down East Magazine. My fine art prints of the Maine coast are becoming best sellers in the Kingman Gallery on Deer Isle, Maine. On top of this, my wedding videos are frequently shared and demand is growing fast.
I believe there is constant room for improvement in both my art and professionally. Follow my work and journey on instagram @FreddyBloy as I continue to develop as a professional photographer. I seriously appreciate you checking out my website!
Cheers,
Fred
